We are excited that you are checking out the Penguins Swim Team and welcome newcomers to come and join us!
Join the Team
In order to join the team participants must first tryout to see where they are at skill wise. If they are accepted on the team we will offer them a free 1-week trial, so that families can decide whether the team is a good fit for their child. (Allstar Fitness will also offer a free 1-week trial during this time, so you can try us out without any costs)
Tryouts:
When considering new participants for our team, we ask for them to be able to:
- Demonstrate basic familiarity with the 4 competitive swimming strokes; freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and breaststroke. Strokes don’t need to be mastered, but swimmers should be familiar with their basic techniques.
- Swim 25 meters of each stroke.
- Desire to be part of a team!
Schedule & Prices:
Entry Level Swimmer
Bronze: Monday-Thursday, 6:45 – 8:00pm, $45/month
Intermediate Level Swimmer
Silver: Monday-Thursday, 6:45 – 8:15pm, $55/month
Advance Level Swimmer
Gold: Monday-Thursday, 6:30 – 8:15pm, $55/month
Meet Fees
We offer meets for our swimmer each month, except in December. Meets are normally 1-2 days and participants normally race in 3-4 events per day.
- School Year Meets: Entrance fee = $8.00 & Each event = $4.00
- Summer Meets: $10.00/meet & $15.00 for the championship meet
Miscellaneous Fess/Info:
- Above registration cost doesn’t include Allstar Fitness membership
- Participants are required to pay a $57/year USA swimming fee
- Participants are required to pay a $25/year registration/fundraising fee
- No practices Thanksgiving or the weeks of Christmas/New Years
Equipment:
Swimmers are required to supply certain equipment for practices and for meets. JD Pence, one of our team sponsors and a local business, is all set for you to come in and help you get the needed equipment. They will even give you a discount!

Payments:
Monthly payments are due by the 1st of each month. We accept checks, cash (exact change), Visa, Matercard and Discover. Cash and checks can be accepted at practices, while card payments must be made by calling the FSS office.
